**News Flash** Fashion world honour for McQueen

It has been announced that there will be another tribute to the late designer Alexander McQueen, who died in an apparent suicide in his London home last month.

The 40 year old British designer will recieve the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Special board of directors honour at the industry's annual star studded gala this Summer.

Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and last year's pick for up-and-coming designer Alexander Wang are competing for the womenswear category, considered to big competitive prize for the night.

In menswear, Tom Ford, taking a break from directing to return to fashion, will compete in the main category with Michael Bastian and Rag & Bone's David Neville.

The gala is being held in New York on June 7.
